文法 – [ 分詞 ]  (1)

分詞有二種，一是現在分詞，另一種是過去分詞。它們的用法有數種，這裡要談的是分詞當做【名詞與副詞】。

文法 – 分詞當做名詞

1)   In a hospital, there are the wounded and the dying at the intensive care unit.

2)   After the earthquake, there were the dead, the dying and the wounded lying in several hospitals.

3)   Is the accused guilty?

4)   The accused was sentenced to life.

5)   Many people believe the souls of the deceased sail to the spirit world.

注意：

1)   這些分詞都轉變成形容詞，前面加上定冠詞，就成為名詞。

請參考[文法 – the + 形容詞 = 名詞]。

文法 – 分詞當做副詞

1)   It was burning hot today since the temperature rose to 35 degrees Celsius.

2)   The weather in South Asia is always steaming hot during the summer.

3)   January is usually the coldest month in a year, especially the freezing cold temperature in the morning.

4)   It was impossible for me to take a walk in the biting cold morning in the winter when I was in Beijing.

注意：

1)   這些分詞都當做副詞，有[非常]的意思，用來修飾容詞。
