分詞的另一種用法是分詞當做【補語】。

 

文法分詞當做補語

 

當做主詞補語

1)   After seeing the movie, Jackson felt excited.

2)   Not seeing my grandson for many years, he grew quite tall.

3)   Though Hank often quarreled with Monica, they still remain being good friends.

4)   Definitely most of us will get accustomed to the routine work.

5)   She had already got bored by the boring routine job. She changed her job last week.

6)   Stephanie became tired of reading all kinds of reports.

7)   I looked terribly embarrassed because I told an unfunny joke in front of many friends this morning.

8)   When the phone rang, Amy came running down the stairs. 

9)   It is common that most young women will go shopping on weekends.

10)    After the accident, this couple stood holding hands like the shocked children.

11)    Helen just sat complaining at home all day after she was punished by her mom.

12)    Our children didn’t play in the living room. They were found watching TV in our room.

注意:

1)   分詞當做主詞補語時,分詞前面的動詞是不完全及物動詞。

 

 

當做受詞補語

1)   The running left us quite tired out.

2)   Our children didn’t play in the living room. We found them watching TV in our room.

3)   They didn’t show up before our meeting, and we found them stuck in traffic.

4)   The program on TV kept children amused.

5)   Cindy always keeps her boyfriend waiting for more than half an hour at a restaurant when they eat out on Saturdays.

6)   My mom wants washing dishes done by children.

7)   After a 2-hour physical workout in the gym, my wife has me drinking a lot of water.

8)   Beth went to the fanciest salon in the town to have her hair permed.

9)   Tommy made his hair cut at a barber shop.

10)    With financial support from Ben’s friends, he got his company running again.             

11)    My dad will ask the computer store to get my computer fixed.

12)    Rosemary got herself cut when preparing dinner tonight.

13)    Keeping staying up late studying will leave my poor sight getting worse.

14)    This bad news about his father’s death left Tony worried about his education in the future.

注意:

1)   分詞當做受詞補語時,分詞前面的動詞是不完全及物動詞。
