Marry Me

Jerry Han – the 12^th grader

On the fourth anniversary of their boyfriend/girlfriend relationship, Kate was invited to observe it with her beloved boyfriend, John. Planning to meeting at the train station at 6 p.m., Kate started to choose clothes and make up at 2:00 p.m. and then she arrived at 5:30 p.m. With perfect appearance, Kate was confident and ecstatic.

So careless was Kate that she forgot to take the decreasing temperature into consideration. Chilly as she was, her expecting heart gave her lots of warm. However, as time flew by, John who used to arrive ten minutes before the deadline still didn't show up. What's more, he didn't answer the phone either. Hitting the roof, Kate was cold and exhausted. Nothing seemed to put off her blazing anger.

Suddenly, a message came as a shooting star, and Kate peeked at it. "Look behind!" it wrote. As soon as Kate gave a glance, she was stunned speechless. High on the huge monitor were touching words, "Kate, marry me!" As soon as her tears rolled down her face, John finally showed up with a shinny diamond ring. All the pedestrians stopped and watched the romantic scene. "Yes!" Kate responded blushedly with people screaming. Later, they headed to a church not a fancy restaurant right away.

Planning to meeting each other at the train station at 6 p.m., Kate started to choose clothes and do careful make-up at 2:00 p.m., and then she arrived at the train station at 5:30 p.m. With her gorgeous appearance, Kate was confident and ecstatic.

So careless was Kate that she forgot to take the recently ever-decreasing temperature into consideration. Chilly as she felt, her expectant heart gave her lots of warmth. However, as time went by, John, who used to arrive ten minutes earlier that what they agreed upon, still didn't show up. What was worse, he didn't answer the her call either. Hitting the roof, Kate was cold and exhausted. Nothing seemed to be able to put out her blazing anger.

Suddenly, a message from John came as a shooting star, and Kate stared at it saying, "Look behind!". As soon as Kate turned around and looked at the display board on the top of the station, she was stunned speechlessly. High on the huge display monitor were the touching words, "Kate, marry me!" Her tears rolling down her face, John finally showed up with a shining diamond ring in his hand. All the pedestrians stopped to see the amazing romantic scene. In front of her dearest lover, "Yes, I do!" Kate said loudly and blushfully with people around screaming. After John helped Kate put on the ring, they headed to a very nice restaurant happily.
