The Wet Paint Ruined a Happy Shopper

Hunter Wang – the 10th grader

One day, Stacy's friend, Kelly, told her there was going to be a big promotion in a department store. Stacy liked to buy the clothes so much that she went to that department store. When she arrived, it was full of people. She walked around for two hours, bought many clothes she liked and walked out the department store with satisfaction and tiredness. When she passed by a park, she went inside and sat on a bench to take a rest. A 15-minute relaxation refreshed her and she left the park. On the street, she felt everyone looking at her. She thought it was because of her new clothes. But when she passed by a store's window, she found the paint on her clothes. She felt very embarrassed and went home quickly. At home, she found it is impossible to repair the clothes with paint, whose price was the highest one among all the clothes she bought. It made a happy shopping turn out to be an unhappy mood.

The Wet Paint Ruined a Happy Shopper

Hunter Wang – the 10th grader

One day, Stacy's friend, Kelly, told her there was going to be a big promotion at a department store. Stacy liked to buy the clothes so much that she went to that department store right away. When she arrived, it was full of people. It took her about two to three hours to buy many clothes she liked and left with satisfaction and tiredness. While walking past a park, she decided to go inside and sat on a bench to take a rest. A 20-minute relaxation really refreshed her, and she stood up in the hope of buying a pair of shoes to go with the new coat on her. On the street, everyone was looking at her. "It is because of my new coat," she talked to herself. But when passing by a store's window, she found stripes of white paint on her coat. Very shocked and embarrassed, she went home quickly in the hope of getting rid of the paint on the most expensive clothes among the new clothes she bought. But it was in vain, which made a happy shopper end up being in an unhappy mood.
