The Experience of Having a Quarrel (by Freshman)

Being a Taiwanese high school student, learn various of subjects is a inescapable fact. As long as you don’t get your parents or teachers expectation grade, no matter which subject, they will be mad and punish you. At the same time, they will tell you that you won’t get a job or achievement in the future.

As I know, a lot of students are confused by classical Chinese. Their parents or teachers always drilling into them that classical Chinese is a part of our culture. It’s a must study subject.

According to my experience, I had a lot of quarrel with my mother because of studying classical Chinese. My mother thought that classical Chinese is as important as English and science, however, I refuse to spend more time on classical Chinese. When graduated from junior high, I realized that my math was not good so I am only major in languages, business, tourism, etc. Unfortunately, all of the departments about that are required classical Chinese grade, so I tried my best to rescue my classical Chinese ability, in the end, I got an ideal grades in college entrance school.

Everything has reason. If you have quarrels with others, don’t be mad or sad, once the quarrel is over, you might learn something that you don’t know.

If you are a Taiwanese high school student, learning various subjects at school is an inescapable fact. As long as you don’t meet your parents’ or teachers’ expectations regardless of which subject is studied, they will get disappointed and mad at you. At the same time, they will tell you that you won’t get a job or have any achievements in the future.

As I know, a lot of students feel puzzled over classical Chinese when they are in junior and senior high schools. Nevertheless, their parents or teachers always instil an idea into them that classical Chinese is a part of their own culture. It’s a subject that must be studied..

According to my experience, I had a lot of quarrels with my mother because of studying classical Chinese. My mother thought that classical Chinese was as important as English and science. However, I refused to spend more time on it. In addition to classical Chinese, I realized that my math was not good as well when graduating from junior high. In this way, I could only major in languages, business, tourism, etc in the university I wanted. Unfortunately, all of the departments I selected needed to have better classical Chinese grade, so I had no choice but to rescue my classical Chinese. In the end, I got an ideal grade on the college entrance exam.

Everything happens for a reason. From the above experience, I learn that don’t be mad or sad if you have quarrels with others. Once quarrels are over, you might gain something that you don’t know.
