這題的重點是如何使用[ instead of ]與[ rather than ]。

1.  [ in spite of ]是[ 雖然、儘管 ]，[ with regard to ]是[ 關於 ]，[ instead of ]與[ rather than ]是[ 不…而…、而不是 ]。照字面解釋，不會採用[ 關於 ]，；而[ in spite of ]與[ instead of ]後面要接動名詞。所以只剩[ rather than ]後面可以接動詞原形或動名詞，就是答案。
