An Expensive Meal (by 11th grader)

Wayne Huang – the 11th grader

After working for long hours, David felt tired and hungry.  Wondering what he wanted for dinner, David had no special idea.  Suddenly, a Japanese restaurant which he had never seen before came into his sight.  An ardent curiosity arose in his mind, so he walked into the restaurant.  He ordered the most popular set meal and some sashimi which was suggested by the waiter.  The food was quite delicious and all the sea food was very fresh too.  After finishing the meal, David felt full and satisfied.  But when he went to pay his bill, he was shocked by the amount on the bill – NT$5,000 dollars, and almost fainted.  But he still had to pay.  After this occurrence, David learned a lesson – check the price before having a meal.

An Expensive Meal (by 11th grader)

Wayne Huang – the 11th grader

After working for long hours, David felt tired and hungry.  Although David walked past a few blocks, he still had no idea what he wanted for dinner.  Suddenly, a Japanese restaurant which he had never seen before came into his sight.  An ardent curiosity arose in his mind, which forced him to step into the restaurant.

Once seated comfortably, he ordered the most popular set meal and some sashimi suggested by the waiter.  The food was quite delicious and all the sea food was very fresh too.  After finishing the meal, he felt full and satisfied.  When walking up to the counter to pay his bill, he was shocked by the amount on the bill – NT$5,000 dollars, and almost fainted.  But he still had to pay.  After this occurrence, David learned a lesson – check the price before having a meal.
