As a senior high school student, I have to confront a lot of tests. To get good grades on the tests, I always go all out to prepare for it.  However, my classmate often gets good grades without any preparation.  The reason why he can often have good grades is because he is very brilliant.  For instance, he can read the textbooks instead of listening the teachers.  According to his example, I don’t believe that the saying, “Both success and failure are not accidental,” is true.  But, I am agree with the sentence, “If you don’t work hard or study hard, you won’t have an opportunity to be successful.”

In short, I think that whether people will succeed or not are decided by their attitude.  The only way to be successful is study diligently and always look on the bright side of life.

As a senior high school student, I have a lot of tests and confront challenges every day and every week.  To get good grades on the tests, I always go all out to prepare for them.  However, it seems that one of my classmates often gets good grades without any preparation.  The reason why he can often have such good academic performance is because he is very outstanding.  For instance, instead of listening to what teachers teach in class, he can just read the textbooks by himself and do the tests without any difficulty.  According to his example, I don’t believe that the saying, “Both success and failure are not accidental,” is one hundred percent true.  But, I agree with the saying, “If you don’t study or work hard, you won’t have any opportunity to be successful,” because such a brilliant person like my classmate belongs to a minority of people.

As for the ordinary people including me, the first thing they need to do is to study hard and diligently.  Then, what’s more, bear in mind that their success also lies in their firm and positive attitude toward the things they work on.  If none of these is implemented, failure awaits their coming.
