Sandy’s Birthday (by 11^th grader)

Kevin – 11^th grader

Sandy’s birthday is coming soon, so I find our friends to discuss how to celebrate it.  After a long talk, we want to give Sandy a surprise when she comes home.  Day after a day, her birthday comes.  We go to her home to wait for her come back.  Additionally, I made a hand-made birthday cake for her with a candle on it.  When she comes home, all of us shout loudly to her, “Happy birthday to you, Sandy!”  We all feel happy because we succeed to make her surprised.  I go to the kitchen to take the cake to her.  Suddenly, my foot kicks on a table.  I fall down and the cake fly into the air.  Unfortunately, it hits on Sandy’s head.  I am very embarrassed at the time.  But, out of my opinion, Sandy doesn’t feel angry.  She picks up the cake and smiles.  Then, I saw a piece of cake fly to me and it lands on my new clothes.  Finally, all of us throw the cake to each other happily.  After “cake” war finishes, we help Sandy mop the floor.  What a crazy birthday party!

Sandy’s Birthday (by 11^th grader)

Sandy’s birthday is coming soon.  Our friends and I get together to discuss about how to celebrate.  After a lengthy discussion, we decide to give Sandy a surprise when she comes home.  On her birthday, we go to her apartment to wait for her coming back.  Additionally, I spend about three hours making a birthday cake with two candles on it for her. 

When she opens the door and gets inside, we shout loudly to her, “Happy birthday to you, Sandy!”  We feel excited and happy because we succeed to make her surprised.  I go to the kitchen to take the cake to her.  Suddenly, I trip over my own feet on the way to the living room.  I almost fall down.  However, the cake flies into the air and hits on Sandy’s head which makes me embarrassed and others shocked at the time.  But, out of my surprise, instead of being angry, she picks up the cake and smiles.  Then, I see a piece of cake fly to me and bang on my new clothes.  Finally, all of us throw the cake to each other hilariously and joyfully.  After the “cake throwing war,” we help Sandy mop the floor and clean everything.  What a crazy birthday party!
