文法–形容詞子句 (5) 關係子句使用了介系詞

假若關係子句使用了介系詞，介系詞擺放的位置該如何？現在以例句說明：

1)   The man whom I shook hands with was my teacher.

      = The man with whom I shook hands was my teacher.  

      = The man that I shook hand with was my teacher.

2)   The music which I listened to was composed by Kim.

      = The music to which I listened was composed by Kim.

      = The music that I listened to was composed by Kim.

3)   The hotel which we lived in was a five star hotel.

      = The hotel in which we lived was a five star hotel.

      = The hotel that we lived in was a five star hotel.

      = The hotel where we lived was a five star hotel.

      (在這句子中，in which = where)

介系詞可以放在關係子句動詞後面，也可以放在關係代名詞前面。但有一例外：

4)   The storybook that you looked at was very interesting. ( O )

      = The storybook at that you looked was very interesting. ( X )

      = That storybook which you looked at was very interesting. ( O )

      = That storybook at which you looked was very interesting. ( O )

注意：介系詞不能放在關係代名詞that的前面。
