Practice Makes Perfect

Simba Chang – the eighth grader

I wasn’t good at playing basketball before, because I spent most of the time on soccer.  When I entered the junior high school, I started playing basketball.  In order to improve my basketball’s skills, I played it three times a week.  I was interested in it, so I was never tired with it.  I usually watched the basketball’s videos on the Internet and learned some skills from them.  Some of them were difficult that I couldn’t learn quickly.  But I practiced it day and night.  Finally, I can control the ball well.  I even can do many hard active with my eyes closed.  None of my classmates is better than me now.  It let me know what practice makes perfect.

I wasn’t good at playing basketball before, because I spent most of the time on soccer.  When I entered the junior high school two years ago, I started playing basketball.  From then on, I have played it three times a week to improve my basketball’s skills.  I am really interested in it, so I never feel tired of it.  I usually watch the basketball’s videos on the Internet and try to learn skills from them.  Some are kind of difficult for me to learn quickly.  But I practice day and night.  Finally, I can control the ball well.  I even can do many highly difficult movements with my eyes closed.  Now, speaking of playing basketball, none of my classmates is better than me.  All I have done these two years makes me truly understand what ‘practice makes perfect’ means.
