Playing Baseball

Tammy Lai – the eighth grader

Jack is a good baseball play.  He was playing baseball with his friends in the park last Saturday.  It was a hot day.  It was Jack turn.  Luckily, he batted the ball into the field.  Unfortunately, the ball hit a dog that was sleeping under a tree and yapped loudly.  Jack and his friends tried to encourage themselves to go up to the dog to pick the ball.  But the dog barked furiously at them.  They were afraid of the dog and ran away.  However, the dog didn’t give up and chased after them in the park and along the streets.  Finally, a policeman saw them and drove the dog out.  All the children thanked the policeman for helping them and went home safe and sound.
