What You Sow Is What You Reap

Hunter Wang – the ninth grader

I didn’t believe the adage, “What you sow is what you reap,” when I was little.  I always spent a little time studying when the test came, and I got not good and not bad grades.  One day, I asked the student who was the top in my class, “Why your grades are always the best in our class?”  He told me the reason why his grades were always the best in our class.  That it, he spent a lot of time studying.  I tried his way because I wanted to be the number 1 too.  So I got up early and reviewed the lessons that teachers taught yesterday.  Finally, I got the best grades in my class.  At that time, I learned the meaning of “What you sow is what you reap.”

What You Sow Is What You Reap

Hunter Wang – the ninth grader

I didn’t believe in the adage, “What you sow is what you reap,” when I was a kid.  I always spent not much time studying before tests, and the grades were not so good and not so bad.  One day, I asked my classmate who was the top in my class, “Why are your grades always the best in our class?”  He told me the reason why his grades were always the best.  It was because he spent a lot of time studying.  In order to be one of the top five students in my class, I took his advice and spent quite a great deal of time doing it as he told me.  So I got up early and reviewed the lessons which were taught by teachers the day before.  As a result of my persistence and efforts, I got good great on most of my exams.  At that time, I finally realized the meaning of the proverb - “What you sow is what you reap.”
