Sandy’s Birthday

Hunter Wang – the 10^th grader

The girl whose birthday was coming is my friend, Sandy.  Our friends and I were going to celebrate her birthday.  We made a big cake on which we spent three hours.  On that day, after making a cake, some decorated the room where Sandy lived.  Some blew up balloons.  Suddenly, she came back.  We turned off the lights and hid behind the sofa and curtains quickly.  When Sandy put down her bag, we jumped out and gave her a surprise.  And then, I took out the cake in front of her.  But I bumped into something and fell down, and the cake smashed on her face.  Everybody thought she would be mad, but she wouldn’t.  On the contrary, she laughed and forgave me.  At last, we sang the birthday song for her and had a good time that night.

Sandy, one of my friends, likes to help others.  Her birthday was drawing near.  Our friends and I were going to celebrate her birthday.  We made a big cake which took us three hours to bake.  On that day, after making the cake, some decorated the room where Sandy lived.  Some blew up balloons.  Suddenly, she came back, which was earlier than we expected.  We turned off the lights and hid behind the sofa and curtains quickly.  When Sandy put down her bag, we jumped out and gave her a surprise.  While taking out the cake in front of her, I bumped into something that made me fall down and the cake smashed right on her face.  Everybody thought she would be angry, but she wouldn’t.  On the contrary, she laughed and ate the cake on her face happily.  The delicious cake was gone in less than fifteen minutes.   At last, we sang the birthday song for her and had a good time that night.
