Lydia – the 12^th grader

e-Generation is a new generation, and young people play an important role.  I’m one of the members in e-Generation.  Compared with last generation, we usually use hi-tech products.  It is common to see those people using cellphones and laptops everywhere, which can help them communicate with their friends, do their reports, and search for information they need.

People in e-Generation spend too much time using hi-tech products, for examples, which makes them have less time not only on their studies but also on face-to-face interaction with other people.  Although these hi-tech devices can help us live a convenient and comfortable life, at the same time, they will let our social skills get rusty.  I think it not a good sign.  A balanced normal life is to have many activities with their families and friends, or else they are popular in the virtual world and become solitary in the real world.

Everyone doesn’t want to feel alone in the real world, because when you’re a lonely person, family, community.  It will become a very neglect society, which is not what we want.  Because in this society, it may be lack of love, interaction, and justice.  The world is more than friendly and interactive.  Hi-tech products are only a tool, don’t rely too much on it.  Once we begin to rely on it, we will go to the world that you don’t want or even get lost in that world.

e-Generation is a new generation in which young people play an important role, and I’m one of the members.  Compared with our parent generation, we use hi-tech products much more often than they do.  Nowadays, in addition to communicating with family and friends with these products such as cellphones and laptops, it is common to see, with them, not only do office workers complete their tasks and even close deals, but students also search for information they need and finish their homework.

In reality, people in e-Generation spend too much time using hi-tech products. For students, on top of not having enough sleeping time, it also causes them to have less time on their studies as well as face-to-face interaction with others.  Although these smart devices can help us live a convenient and comfortable life, at the same time, they will make our social skills get rusty, which is not a good sign.  A balanced normal life is to have many activities with their families and friends rather than drive themselves to become popular in the virtual world and feel solitary in the real world.

Everyone doesn’t want to feel alone in the real world because when you’re a lonely person with less interaction and communication with your family and friends, the society you live in is indifferent, which is not what you want.  The world we are eager for is friendly and warm-hearted.  After all, hi-tech products are just tools we use to make life convenient instead of indifference.
