If I Were to Have 30 Hours A Day (by 11th grader)
Melody – the 11th grader
We often wish we could have thirty hours a day so as to have more time to deal with what we need to do. But will the things go as we expect? If we had 30 hours a day, we might cherish the time and use them wisely or spend more time goofing off. Is it really doing us good to have 30 hours a day?
As a senior high school student like me, there are always many tasks should be done as well. We have to study at school for eight hours. What’s more, some of us need to go to tutoring center, so the time for us to do whatever we want to do is very short. We have no time to break or even finish all the things that are in our to do list. If we can have six more hours, it would help us a lot to deal with the work. In addition, we could also spend some time to take a break or chat with our friends. Our schedule would be loose, and we can catch our breath from our busy lives. On the other hand, we use them in not only positive way but negative way. If we had six more hours, we might think that we have more time to play or do something that’s not important. Take playing online game for example, we often think it will take us only thirty minutes to relax ourselves. However, we spend many hours on it by accident. So the six more hours will be useless.
In my opinion, having 30 hours not only brings us additional advantages but also disadvantages. Instead of wishing to have 30 hours a day, we should make best use of our time, and tell what is the most urgent thing that we must tackle. In summary, we should cherish our time no matter how many hours a day. If we can do this, 24 hours a day is as sufficient for us as 30 hours a day.

If I Were to Have 30 Hours A Day (by 11th grader)
Melody – the 11th grader
Most of the people often wish they could (were to) have thirty hours a day so as to have more time to deal with what they need to do. But will the things go as they expect? If we were to 30 hours a day, we would cherish the additional time and use it wisely rather than spending it goofing off. But is it really doing us good to have 30 hours a day?
As a senior high school student like me, in addition to tests and exams on every subject every week, there is always tons of homework which is required to be done within a limited time frame. What’s worse, some students need to go to cram schools. In this way, it is impossible to take breaks or have free time to do whatever we are interested in. As a result, we might not have sufficient sleep and rest, and even couldn’t finish all of the things in our to-do list. If we were to have six more hours, it would help us a lot to deal with the above issues. Then we might have time to chat with family and hang out with friends on weekends. Better still, we might even have time to sit beside the window, having a cup of tea or coffee while staring at the scenery outside. On the contrary, if we don’t use the additional time properly or wisely, and take it for granted to spend some more time using social media, playing online games, and texting messages, it’ll turn out way worse.
It is likely that the additional six hours might bring us advantages and disadvantages. Nonetheless, in reality, it is impossible to have 30 hours a day.
Instead of looking forward to an unrealized wish, the best policy is to make best use of the existing 24 hours, and prioritize tasks and tackle most urgent ones first, which is meant to have effective time management in place. In brief, no matter how many hours a day there’ll be, stick to the plan prepared beforehand and do it accordingly since each and every second and minute is valuable. If we can do as planned, 24 hours a day is as sufficient for us as 30 hours a day.
