Bill Gates & Chen Shu-chu (by 11^th grader)

Joy – the 11^th grader

There is no denying that Bill Gates and Chen Shu-Chu contributed a lot to our society.  However, we seldom associate them at the same time because there are too many differences between them. Bill Gates established Microsoft software, which makes strong impact on modern people, and successfully gained lots of fortune from it. People usually think of him as the genius in technology and absolutely a rich man. Compared to Bill Gates, Chen Shu-Chu earned less money than him but donated enormous amount of money to the needy and the homeless. Taiwanese considered her the kind-hearted woman.

Both Bill Gates and Chen Shu-Chu made a huge influence on my life. Nowadays, people’s life is filled with 3c products. Student as I am, I also need to use computer to make school presentation and look up for the information on the Internet. Without Bill Gates contribution, we’ll not only lose convenience but efficiency of our work. As for Chen Shu-Chu, I never received her money and support, but I was touched by her selflessness. Finding that she isn’t rich but devoted herself to the charity, I was shocked by her lofty spiritual and warm hearted action. Her kind behavior inspires many people, including me, to help others in need.

Even though I’m not able to invent the radical innovation like Bill Gates to benefit whole world, I can take good advantage of the thing I process to benefit my family, classmate and friend. I am not selfless enough to donate most of my fortune, but I can give someone a hand when they are in need. I can’t help as many people as the two great people, Bill Gates and Chen Shu-Chu. However, their motivated story will influence me to give more kindness to the people around me

There is no denying that Bill Gates and Chen Shu-Chu have contributed a lot to our society (the society or the world).  However, speaking of Bill Gates, we seldom associate him with Chen Shu-Chu, and vice versa, it is because there are too many differences between them.  Bill Gates established Microsoft software, which has had strong impact on modern people.  Thanks to Mircrosoft, he has successfully gained lots of fortune.  People usually think of him as an amazing genius in technology (field) and absolutely a rich man.  Compared to (with) Bill Gates, Chen Shu-Chu earned (far) less money than him (he) but donated enormous amount of money (donated most of her income) to the needy and the homeless. Taiwanese considered her the kind-hearted woman.

Both Bill Gates and Chen Shu-Chu have a huge influence on my life.  Nowadays, people’s life is filled with 3C products.  Student as I am, I use computers to make school presentation and look the information up on the Internet very often.  Without Bill Gates contribution, we’ll not only lose convenience but efficiency when doing our work.  As for Chen Shu-Chu, I have never received her money and support, but I am impressed and touched by her selflessness.  Two or three years ago, I read some information about her and found that she was a vendor selling vegetables at local traditional market.  In terms of wealth, she is far, far behind Bill Gates whose wealth may be ten billion times more than hers.  But she has devoted herself and money to charities in her entire life, which is regarded as lofty and warm hearted virtue.  Most importantly, what she has done has inspired many people, including me, to help others in need.

Even though I’m not able to invent any influential invention or have any radical innovation like Bill Gates to benefit the whole world, I still can do something beneficial to my family, classmates and friends.  For examples, I can find a part-time job to lessen the financial burden my parents have.  I can also help my classmates with their subjects they are not good at.  I know despite the fact that at the moment, I can’t help as many people as the two abovementioned great people, their motivational conduct already has inspired me to give help and kindness to people around me
