A Letter to A Tortoise

Dear Tortoise,

It has been three months since our first running race. How is everything? I have a good idea to have our second running race. The weather is comfortable in early autumn, so it is a great time to have a race. We can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery but also listen to birds singing in the mountain. It sounds great, doesn't it?

I want to hold this race because I can't endure being defeated by you. Because of my laziness, I lost last time. Therefore, I really admire your diligence and I've practiced hard recently. I am sure that I will defeat you this time. The race will be held on this Saturday morning at the same place where we had a race last time. If you think it is a wonderful race and you are willing to face the challenge, please let me know. Your early reply is highly appreciated.

It occurred to me these two or three days that we could have our second running race because the weather is wonderful in the early autumn. We can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery but also listen to birds singing in the mountains while running. It sounds great, doesn't it?

I want to hold this race because I can't endure being defeated by you. Because of my laziness and your diligence, I lost and you won last time. Recently, I've practiced running every day, rain or shine. I am sure that I will outrun you this time. On the other hand, the true winning will not depend on one race only. In fact, the winner can confront any challenges from his rivals.

The race will be held on this Saturday morning at the same place where we had our first race. If you think it is an exciting and faire race and you are willing to accept the challenge, please let me know. Your early reply is highly appreciated.
