My Last Christmas in Taiwan

Kevin Wang – the eleventh grader

I had a good time in Christmas last year, yet, this was my last Christmas in Taiwan because I’m in Canada for studying.

During that Christmas, I was celebrating with my classmate in classroom, we sang karaoke, playing games, eating party meal, and change presents with each classmates, I got some candy and cookie, what a marvelous party it was. That’s not the end of the celebration. After school, my mother prepared the Christmas meal for me and my father, we ate it with satisfaction, then, my parents said that they bought the presents for me, I opened it, it was the video game disk which I wanted, I was really grateful.

Now I’m a Chinese-Canadians student, and I studied for two years, but I still remember it like it was yesterday.

I had a good time with my family and classmates on last year’s Christmas, but it was my last Christmas in Taiwan because I am going to get educated in Canada soon.

On last year’s Christmas, I celebrated with my classmates in the classroom, singing karaoke, playing games, eating refreshments, and exchanging presents with each other. I got some candy and cookies. What a marvelous party it was. However, that was not the end of the celebration. At home, after having the delicious Christmas meal prepared by my mother, my parents said they bought a gift for me. It really surprised me because the video game they bought was what I had longed for since I was a tenth grader. I was heartily grateful to my parents for all that they had done for me.

Although I will be a foreign student in Canada, I still remember my last year’s Christmas as if it was yesterday.
