A Dream

Kevin – the 12^th grader

Everyone has a dream, but it might change when we grow up.  When I was little I dreamed to be a train driver.  When I went to junior high school, I dreamed to be a doctor because I wanted to help people in the hospital.

When I went to senior high school, I noticed that my grades were not high enough to go to medical school, though I wanted to work in the hospital.  So I change my dream again.  I want to be a nurse.

Nurse is a hard job in the hospital.  Nurses usually overwork to take care about patients.  They get up early and come back home late.  Doctors make them do something they need to do.  Although it is really a hard job, I still want to realize my dream.

Department of Nursing in Taiwan isn’t hard to admit, but I still study hard to go to the best Department of Nursing in Taiwan.  Every road leading to dream is not easy, so we must work hard to reach our dream.

Everyone has a beautiful dream in our life, but it might change when we grow up.  When I was little I dreamed of being a train driver.  However, when I went to junior high school, I dreamed of being a doctor because I wanted to help sick people in the hospital.

After I went to senior high school, I have noticed that my grades are not good enough to go to medical school.  But I still want to work in the hospital.  So my dream changes again.  I want to be a nurse.

Compared with any other jobs in the medical field, being a nurse may be the toughest one.  Nurses oftentimes overwork to take care of patients.  They go to work early and come back home late.  Doctors and hospital give them tons of work to do.  For a lot of people, being a nurse is too much like hard work.  I know it is a tough job, but I still want to realize my dream to help people in need.

In Taiwan, there are many universities having department of nursing.  It seems not very difficult for me to get admitted.  Nevertheless, I’m required to study hard to get into the best one.  Like everyone, I know the road leading to fulfilling my dream is rugged and winding.  Only with my determination, willpower, and studying hard can I make my beautiful dream come true.
