Sandy’s Birthday

Tammy Lai – the 9^th grader

Sandy’s eighteen birthday was around the corner.  All of her friends discussed about how to arrange the birthday party.  On her birthday, according to our plan, we hid behind the sofas and curtains.  Shortly she came back.  Right after she turned on the light, we shouted, “Happy birthday!”  Sandy said in tears, “Oh!  Thank you all.  It really touches my heart.”  Then I took out the cake that made by ourselves.  Suddenly, I bumped into something hard, which almost made me fall down.  But the cake fell right on Sandy’s skirt.  “Oh no!  I screw up the party!” I said to myself.  We thought she would be angry.  On the contrary, she burst out laughing, throwing the cake to me and other friends.  The party ended up “a cake fight” with laugh, joy and happiness.
